Finally Thanksgiving break is here!!! I've made it!
It has been quite some time since my last post. I attribute this to my extremely busy college student schedule. Specifically my academics; but that's why you come to college.
Lets see, academically it's been the constant barrage of quizzes, exams, lab practical and papers due. I know for a fact that I haven't had a week where a major paper, exam, or lab practical hasn't occurred. Pretty hectic, pretty stressful. Started to get migraines from the stress, but on a good note, the health center was great and now that's better. The two biggest loads for course work are Microbiology/Immunology (micro) and Anatomy/Physiology (A&P).You have both three days a week for an hour lecture AND two times a week for a two hour lab. Essentially, I think it's like having another whole class with the double lab days. The tests and lab practicals are just as difficult in comparison to the lecture exams; material depending. With my schedule it's like taking 21 credit hours, but it only counts as 18 on paper.
Next semester is looking better, I'll only have the double A&P lab days; the Nursing Therapeutics class only meets for lab once a week. Either way, it's core nursing classes so I assume that it'll be entertaining. I'm just look forward to finally doing some actual practical nursing skills.
GO BUCKEYES! Haha, I feel sorry for all those Michigan fans. But honestly, it was one excellent game. Can't wait for the National Title game. Gotta love college football.
Lets see, the outlook for the last couple weeks after break … ouch. When I get back I've got six essays due for Fine Arts and two reports for Human Growth & Development. The next week: Micro lab practical, A&P lab practical, and a Fine Arts final presentation. The week after that is exams week … OH JOY. Next semester has got to be better ….
Breaks are generally good. Home cooked food, rest, and an environment to have actual focus. Dorms are … well just dorms. Not the best working, living, or relaxing environment. In my eyes, the best aspect of the breaks is that you can see all of your family that you wouldn't normally see. Well, that's all I've got!
