I'm home. YAY! I'm back in Hillsboro and so far so good. Today was my first day back and I went to Subway, because that's where I'm working over break and I went back to my old high school - let me tell, it still feels like home. I talked with my former cheerleading coach and caught up on the small town news. Believe me, you don't realize how much you miss in just a couple months! Tomorrow, for Capital's Admissions Office I'm setting up a table at Hillsboro HS to give students info about Cap. That should be fun. It's good to see a lot of familiar people. I also learned that my high school's basketball team is so far undefeated. GO INDIANS! Which reminds me, I bought a CAP CRU t-shirt and now I'm an official fan. This basically means I can win prizes at home basketball games and sit in the "CAP CRU" section. I love watching basketball games, so that should be a lot of fun.
Oh, and I told my Mom today that I already missed my friends back at Cap! You become really close really fast when you live with someone. I got so lucky to meet friends. I have to say that was one of my worries ---> That I wouldn't find a group of people that I really fit in with. But I did and they're great. We have so much fun and I'm gonna miss them through break. The four of us did a gift exchange thing and it was supposed to be secret, but we all now know who has who and we're actually exchanging gifts after break so everyone has a chance to shop - no finals, no homework, no stress (hopefully) to worry about. Shopping is so much more fun that way!
Well, I think I might have a snack then watch House. If you haven't watched it, you need to. TV series' are a college student's best friend. What better way to spend free time? I might even take a bath instead of a shower tonight, you know thats a luxury when you're in college. Oh, the ups and downs of being back in Hillsboro.
Adios! and Happy Holidays!
