The Capital Football Association (CFA) provides an outlet for former players, alumni, fans and friends of the program to contribute to the continued success of the Crusader football program on and off the field.
The CFA is being organized by former players who know the challenges small colleges face in building and maintaining a program that competes on the highest level. Small colleges like Capital are constantly faced with the rising costs of equipment, travel and personnel and the primary mission of the CFA is to provide support to allow the football program to not only maintain its current level of success but allow it to continue to grow and thrive. Along with financial support the organization is also planning meetings and events to encourage fellowship and support such as a membership drive and possible golf outings.
Capital football has become a nationally ranked and respected program with six-straight winning seasons and putting up winning records and trips to the NCAA Division III Playoff national quarterfinals each of the last two seasons where they suffered three-point losses to the eventual national champions. Capital has a 49-16 record since 2001 and finished this past season as the No. 3 team ranked team in the nation.
