Zugger To Play New Music for Low Brass During ‘Live CD’ Performance Jan. 31
In a continuing venture to perform new music for low brass, Thomas Zugger, associate professor of trombone and euphonium, will present “A ‘Live’ CD” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Huntington Recital Hall.
Tianshu Wang, associate professor of piano, will join him for the recital of late 20th-century music featuring works by Einar Englund, John Harmon, Bertold Hummel, Elizabeth Raum, Richard Trevarthen and Donald White. Zugger also will perform his own composition “Goodbye.”
Zugger and Wang will record the works later this semester for a new CD that will be released this fall. All the compositions are for undergraduate-level performers. The event is free and open to the public.
