Conservatory of Music

Often a single experience will open the young soul to music for a whole lifetime. This experience cannot be left to chance, it is the duty of the school to provide it.”

— Zoltán Kodály

Improve your own musical abilities and your passion for music education as a fundamental part of human growth through Capital’s Master of Music in Music Education with a Kodály emphasis.

Twentieth-century Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály believed that music was an essential part of every person’s being. Today, that belief has been transformed into a philosophy of music education that is taught around the world. The guiding principles of Kodály methodology include:

  • Music as a core part of every child’s education
  • The value of traditional and folk music
  • Singing
  • Music literacy
  • Early childhood development

Classes are scheduled in intensive three-week or six-week modules, and you may also take advantage of Capital’s exclusive program for study at the Zoltán Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kesckemét, Hungary.

Law School

At Capital’s Law School, you can take advantage of innovative programs in areas including dispute resolution, bankruptcy law, adoption law and policy, and tobacco public policy.

Day and evening programs are available, and your Capital undergraduate degree will earn you preferential consideration for admission into Capital’s Juris Doctor program (if you qualify, of course).

Capital’s Law School strives to convey a knowledge of the law and legal process in a demanding environment; impart high ethical standards; and create lawyers who are caring and understanding.

School of Management

If you are a business professional seeking a master's degree while still working full time, you should consider the flexibility of our MBA program. You can earn the MBA you want in just two years, and also have the option to earn a joint degree in law, taxation or nursing. We offer required classes each semester at our new facility in the heart of the Arena District, which is easily accessible and has plenty of parking.

What can you expect from your School of Management experience?

  • Develop leadership and communication skills in small teams that tackle real business challenges.
  • Collaborate with supportive professors who combine important business theory with plenty of practical experiences.
  • Build your network through our diverse classes, which attract students from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Travel to where the action is, like Chicago’s financial markets.

"Networking is an important part of Capital’s MBA program. Some people have worked for five years, some for 20, and it's cool to see how people from companies with vastly different cultures come together. A lot of great ideas are born because these people can feed off each others' expertise."

— Heather Drebensted, MBA, '05
Columbus, Ohio
