I hope everyone is enjoying the Spring weather because I know I am! In high school, this kind of weather made me not want to go to school. College is a bit different...now I just enjoy my time walking to and from class alittle bit more and more as the temperature gets higher and higher. Well, enough small talk, I've been having a lot of fun!
I had my last overnight of the year Wednesday night =( which makes me sad. I really enjoy being a Student Ambassador and strongly encourage people to get involved with this awesome program. It was pretty awesome though, because my overnight was from my hometown of HILLSBORO, OH. yay! We attended Wicked Wednesday and the Debunkify people were there. It was sweet, to say the least. My overnight visitor did the inflatable jousting andwe played Bingo for some prizes! There also gave away an I-POD and a $500 Easton (the local Mall) gift certificate! I have to say that was the main reason I went. Free stuff = good times for college kids!
Other than that, I've been extremely busy with school work, getting ready to register for classes and, latest update in my life - I applied to live off campus and was approved! Now, all first year and sophomore students are required to live on campus but sometimes there are special circumstances involved, in which case one can file for permission to live off campus; this is exactly what I did! The Office of Residence Life and Housing was very sensitive to my personal needs and I commend them on that! I'll be living with 3 other roommates and I am very excited!
Also, I am registering for classes for next fall TODAY. I'm taking Intro to Religion, two Social Work classes and an English class, as I am considering a double major with English and Social Work. The English Department is being very helpful with my decision to possibly double major, which is great and leaves less stress on me!
