Mike Ott Named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference
(AUSTINTOWN, Ohio)-- Capital University’s Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) was named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference by the conference's faculty athletics representatives.

Capital Finishes Seventh at OAC Men's Golf Championship; Ott Places Eighth for All-OAC Honors
(PATASKALA, Ohio)--Capital University junior Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) finished in a tie for eighth place with a 151 (73-78) to earn All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors at the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship at Cumberland Trail Golf Course in Pataskala, Ohio. The Crusaders placed seventh with a two-day total of 639 (316-323).

Ott Ties For First at ONU Men's Golf Invitational; Crusaders Finish Second
(LIMA, Ohio)--Junior Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) fired a tournament-low 75 in the second round to tie for first place overall at ONU Invitational at the Colonial Golfers Club in Lima, Ohio. Ott led the Crusaders to a second place finish with a two-day total of 154 (79-75) and tied OSU-Lima's Steven Mullalley and Ohio Northern's Wes Immler for individual honors.

Ott Finishes 10th as Men's Golf Places Ninth at Nye Intercollegiate
(WOOSTER, Ohio)--Junior Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) finsihed in tie for 10th place as he carded a two-day total of 157 (79-78) as the Capital University men's golf team placed ninth to at the Nye Intercollegiate at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio.

Men's Golf Finishes Tied for Fourth at Purple & White Invite
(LOCKBOURNE, Ohio)--Capital University men's golf team finsihed tied for fourth place with a 655 at the Capital Purple & White Invitational at the Foxfire Golf Club just south of Columbus, Ohio.

Crusaders Place Seventh at OWU Invite
(DELAWARE, Ohio)—Capital University’s men’s golf team placed seventh out of 11 teams at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.

Men's Golf Finishes Fifth in Muskie Invite
(CAMBRIDGE, Ohio)--Capital University's men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Fighting Muskie Fall Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at the Cambridge Country Club in Cambridge, Ohio.

Men's Golf Opens 2006-07 Season at Urbana
(URBANA, Ohio)--Capital University’s men’s golf team started off their 2006-07 campaign with a 14th place finish at the Urbana Invitational at Woodlands G.C. in Urbana, Ohio.

2005-06 Season Review
Crusaders Build for Future in 2006
Under first-year head coach Greg Kline, Capital University's men's golf team took steps toward building a strong program in the 2005-06 season and has the young talent in place to continue to improve in 06-07.

Capital ended its season with an eighth-place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference championships at Fox Meadow Country Club in Medina, Ohio.The Crusaders finished ninth in 2005.

Two sophomores and a freshman spearheaded the Crusader linksters in 2006 and all will return in 2006-07 to comprise the nucleus of Coach Kline's squad.

Sophomore Mike Ott (Columbus/Franklin Heights) was the leader from day one as his scoring average of 79.9 was tops on the team and he tied for 22nd at the OAC Championships with a two-day score of 163 (80-83).

A pair of Hilliard Davidson grads were the No. 2 and 3 players for the Crusaders. Freshman Zach Griffith ended the season with the second best scoring average (85.7) and was followed closely by sophomore Robert Bardwell (85.9).

The Crusaders lone senior, Danny Turner (Grove City/Grove City), was Capital's No.4 player with a season scoring average of 93.3.

The final two players are both freshman, Jacob Favazzo (Alliance/Alliance) and Scott Miles (Solon/Solon) who look to improve and become significant contributors on next year's squad.
