Three Capital Softball Players Named to All-Region Teams
(STARKVILLE, Miss.)--Three Capital softball players were named to the 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Central Region Softball Team. Junior Lindsay Shepherd (Phillipsburg/Northmont) earned first team honors, while senior Jackie Burris (Beach Park, Ill./Warren Township) and freshman Sam Kennedy (Delaware/Delaware Hayes) were named to the second team.

Softball Shut Down By Marietta; Crusaders Season Ends
(ADA, Ohio)--Capital University's softball team suffered a 4-2 loss to Marietta College Friday at the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Tournament in Ada, Ohio. The loss ends the Crusaders season at 25-17, while Marietta (31-9) moves on to play #18 Ohio Northern in a semifinal matchup.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Freshman Ashleigh Madden (Grove City/Grove City) hit a home run and the softball team used a five-run sixth inning to take game two of an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader against No. 9 Muskingum College 7-3 Friday at Clowson Field in Columbus. Muskingum won the first game 4-0.
