Chad Baker

Chad Baker serves as an adjunct keyboard faculty member, a Conservatory accompanist, and as the coordinator of organ activities. He also teaches piano and organ in the Community Music School and accompanies the Columbus Youth Chorale.  Baker is a 2004 cum laude graduate of Capital University with a bachelor of music degree in keyboard pedagogy with an emphasis in church music.

In addition to his responsibilities at Capital Baker is the organist at Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley. He also accompanies the New World Singers of the Columbus Children’s Choir. Each summer since 2000 Baker has served as an accompanist to the All-Ohio Youth Choir and its traveling ensemble the Cardinal Chorale.

Currently Baker is a member of the Music Teacher’s National Association, MTNA, and the American Guild of Organists, AGO.  As an MTNA member Baker has held student leadership positions in the Capital Student Chapter of which he is now the faculty advisor.  He also serves the AGO Columbus Chapter as the chair of placements and substitutes.
