Rules of Use

Hours of Operation

During the Academic Year

Monday - Thursday 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Friday 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

Summer Hours

Monday - Thursday 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.

 

Bexley residents may use the facilities:

Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 8 a.m.

Saturday - Sunday 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Please review the following rules and guidelines:

Rules

  • You must have a university or Capital Center ID to use the facility.
  • Participation is at your own risk.
  • Proper footwear and attire is required.
  • All personal items should be stored securely in lockers.
  • Capital University is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Food and beverages (other than water bottles) are not permitted in recreation areas.
  • Bikes, inline skates, skateboards and pets are not allowed in the building.
  • All tobacco products are prohibited inside the building.
  • Radios and other audio equipment are prohibited within the facility. Personal listening equipment with headphones (such as Walkmans) are permitted.
  • Basketball dunking is not permitted in recreational areas.
  • Individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that will not detract from the enjoyment of others using the facility.
  • Destructive behavior and profanity are considered inappropriate.
  • Individuals abusing basic rules will be asked to leave. Continued abuse will result in suspension from further use of The Capital Center.

Guidelines

  • Proper attire is expected at all times when using the facility.
    • Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.
    • No bare feet or cleats are permitted in the building.
  • Locker rooms and showers will be available for general use during hours of operation.
    • Capital Center users may make temporary use of a locker, but they must bring their own lock and must empty the locker when leaving the facility.
    • Towels are not provided.
  • Limited kinds and amounts of equipment for recreational purposes are available at the control desk. The user's ID card will be exchanged for the equipment, and will be returned upon the equipment's return.
  • Lost and found items are kept at the control desk. Keys will be turned over to Campus Security the next day.
  • Depending on volume of use and other factors, Capital University may establish a fee schedule at a later date for use of The Capital Center by guests.
