You’ll come to Ruff Learning Center for general education classes as well as lectures and social events. Stop by the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), the campus tutoring service, to hone essential note-taking and test-taking skills.
Ruff Learning Center
One of the main classroom buildings on campus, this is where you’ll take English, history and a variety of general education requirements in classes that average 25-30 students. It’s also home to the education and social work programs.
Hear guest lecturers, watch free movies on the weekend and participate in Wicked Wednesdays in Capital’s largest lecture hall, the Bridge of Learning, which seats 200 people.
Get academic support, free of charge, through the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), Capital’s student-run tutoring center. Besides providing one-on-one tutoring, the center holds workshops and offers tips and assessments to help you study, write and think more effectively in a variety of subjects. CELT also facilitates accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
