(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) -- Capital University's volleyball team won all four matches and captured the championship at the Volley Against Violence Westminster Volleyball Invitational in New Wilmington, Pa. Senior middle hitter Jessie Hampson (Lancaster/Lancaster) and freshman Laura Buzenski (New Albany/Bishop Hartley) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
On Friday, the Crusaders defeated Ohio Athletic Conference foe Muskingum College 3-1 (30-24, 17-30, 30-18, 30-26) and host Westminster (Pa.) College 3-1 (29-31, 30-21, 30-18, 30-26). In Saturday's matches, Capital scored 3-0 victories over Penn State-Behrend (30-11, 32-30, 30-13) and Allegheny (Pa.) University (30-22, 30-24, 30-21).
Hampson tallied 21 kills against Allegheny and added 10 blocks against Westminster. Buzenski recorded 27 digs against PSB and 24 more digs against Westminster. Freshman Megan Krebs (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) had 18 kills against Westminster.
