(COLUMBUS, Ohio)--Capital University's women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 defeat to Thomas More (Ky.) College Sunday in the season-opener at Bernlohr Stadium in Columbus.
Thomas More's Brittany Yeggy scored a natural hat trick with goals in the 2nd, 11th and 79th minutes to stake the visitors to a 3-0 lead. Capital avoided the shutout in the 81st minute when freshman

Stephanie Hufford had three saves in the win for the Saints, while sophomore
Sherry Lyle (Columbus/Westerville North) had two saves in the loss for Capital.
