Hey everyone! I hope your Memorial Day weekend went well & that everyone enjoyed the LONG WEEKEND! :)
I guess this would be a good opportunity to tell you about MY long weekend. Let's see; Saturday morning my mom, my sister and I got up early and hit the road for Pittsburgh to visit my dad and the rest of my family. We went shopping and visited relatives, so overall it was a good weekend. I'm usually a very busy person, so having nothing to do but talk and eat and rest was definitely amazing!
Tuesday I came back to work in the good 'ol Admission Office and Wednesday my boyfriend and I left early to drive down to Kings Island in Cincinnati for the day. It was kind of chilly and some of the rides were still closed, but we had a great time and I even got a little bit of sun during the day. So needless to say, after my mini-vacation over the weekend and yesterday, I am relaxed and ready for summertime!!
On another note, I was was watching TV this morning and our ABC station in Columbus airs commercials called "Best of the Class" where the Valedictorians of high schools in the area are recognized. It really hit me that I've been out of high school for an entire year already, and the Class of 2008, people that are younger than me, are graduating! It's unreal! So to all of you graduating seniors, CONGRATULATIONS and good luck with whatever your life brings you. To the class of 2009 (including my little sister!), YOU"RE SENIORS! Take in every little moment and don't take any of it for granted, because it goes by faster than you'll ever know!
That's all for now, I'll be back soon! Comments are always appreciated!

Caitlin Ladie Hey everyone! I know I said that my previous blog would be my last blog, but.. I was just kidding. :)
So it's update time! Currently I am working full-time in the Admission Office giving tours, helping the Admission staff and blogging as well! I work with some pretty awesome people, and I have never had a job where I could have so much fun and work at the same time. :) If any readers out there have not come to Capital to take a tour and meet your admission counselor, I highly suggest that you make an appointment ASAP... you definitely won't regret it! Just call our visit coordinator, Ann, toll-free at 1-866-544-6175 to set everything up. Who knows: I may even be your tour guide! :)
Being a Summer Orientation Leader, I helped welcome the first session of the incoming Class of 2012! It was a great day, even though it was a little chilly, and everyone seemed very happy and excited to be here at Cap! I hope that everyone who came had a good time and everyone who is coming to the upcoming sessions is excited!
I'm really excited because next Wednesday my boyfriend and I are going to King's Island for the day. It'll be the first "summertime" thing that I've done since the semester ended, so I'm really excited to have some fun and scream my lungs out on The Beast! :)
But above everything I am happy about, the #1 thing that I am excited about is becoming a Sophomore at Cap and starting my third semester in the fall. I can't believe how fast my first year went and I can't imagine how fast the next three are going to go.
Well, I think that's about it for now. Comments and questions are always appreciated! So everyone get out and go swimming this summer and have a good day!

Caitlin Ladie Hey guys! I have A LOT to tell you :)
First of all, let me answer your questions. On my last blog, a reader asked how to go about being accepted at Capital and I bet that there are many more of you out there that could use some information. So here we go. First of all, APPLY! Right now, this very second. (You can read my blog later)If Capital doesn't know you're interested in coming, you're less likely to get scholarship consideration and you won't get your acceptance letter, hopefully, until you apply... makes sense right? Next thing on the list would be to receive your acceptance letter and/or scholarship money. After all that has been taken care of, I would suggest making an appointment to take a tour and meet your admission counselor. Each and every one of them are amazing people and they can answer any question you may have about Capital. In January, fill out FAFSA with parent or guardian and see how much government money you will be receiving. After that, you officially accept becoming a Capital student and TA DA! The whole process will probably be complete near the end of your senior year, but could be sooner or later depending on your situation. Any other questions about Capital, please feel free to ask!!
So now that I've rambled on & on, let me ramble about finals. :) I really got lucky this semester. The only final I had to take was for my Quantitative Reasoning class, and it was a take-home! :) So I had a little over a week to finish 20-some problems. It was definitely nice to have that time to relax... even though all my friends were jealous because they were studying their butts off! lol
So we are officially out of school until January 7, 2008! I don't have a job outside of school, so I've just been relaxing at home & enjoying NO SCHOOL! I have time to sleep till noon, read good books all day, go see movies & see my long lost friends when they come home from their schools. It's wonderful to be stress-free, & I hope your Winter Breaks are as relaxing as mine has been so far.
Well, I'm currently getting ready for my family's annual Christmas Party, so I better get off here & continue making myself pretty :) lol
Everyone enjoy the snow!

Caitlin Ladie Hey everyone! Only 6 days until Turkey Day & I don't know about you guys, but I'm seriously ready for some mashed taters & cranberry sauce!! :)
I'll definitely be a busy girl over Thanksgiving break. Just another amazing thing about college life. :)I had 2 papers due this week, and I have to work on 3 more over the long weekend. (Thank goodness 2 of them aren't really due until December)But the day after Thanksgiving, all homework will be put aside for all the awesome deals! :) If you have yet to shop the day after Thanksgiving... it's definitely an experience. haha A few years ago, I was waiting in line at Toys R Us to buy a gift for my best friend's niece at 6am... and the store was PACKED. But even through the crowds, it's fun! :)
It may not look alot like Christmas in Columbus yet, but the radio stations are already playing Christmas music. That's right kiddos... I heard my first Christmas song on the radio today, and I've been humming it all day long. I'm still waiting to hear the Nat King Cole version of "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"... my favorite Christmas song of all time. If you're having a bad day, just jam to "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" & you're good to go! :P
During my last post, I think I jinxed some of my football teams. :( The Cruisers & Buckeyes took a loss last week, which made me sad. :( But oh well... I'm sure I speak for all Buckeyes when I say we'd rather have taken the loss last week than this week. For those who aren't aware, it's beat Michigan week here in Columbus, OH. So wear that Scarlet & Gray with pride & GO BUCKS!
That's all for now I suppose. Feel free to leave me any questions or comments & be safe!! :)
