Volleyball Wins Five-Game Thriller in OAC Quarterfinal

(BEREA, Ohio)---Capital University's volleyball team defeated fourth-seed Baldwin-Wallace College 3-2 in an Ohio Athletic Conference Quarterfinal match Tuesday in Berea, Ohio.

Capital, the number five seed, now plays at the number one seed Ohio Northern University, who defeated Marietta College 3-0.  The match will take place Friday at 7 p.m. in Ada, Ohio.

Capital sprinted out of the gate to win games one and two by 30-23 and 31-29 margins.  The Crusaders dropped game three, which included 19 lead changes.  After losing game four, Capital was able to come back and take the fifth and deciding game due to a 5-0 run after the score was knotted at seven.

The Crusaders were led by senior Jessie Hampson's (Lancaster/Lancaster) 21 kills, 7 digs, and 13 block solos.
