(STERLING, Va.) – Capital University junior forward Caitlin Elsass (Batavia/Clermont Northeastern) has been named a Preseason All-American by D3hoops.com.
Elsass, selected to the Honorable Mention team, finished the 2006-07 season as the Crusaders’ leading scorer and rebounder and led the team in shooting percentage. She averaged 13 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and shot .528 from the field (124-of-235). She also was among the team leaders in free throw percentage, shot blocks and steals. Following the season, Elsass earned First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
Capital, ranked No. 20 in the D3 Hoops poll, kicks off its season this Friday at the Manchester (Ind.) Tournament in North Manchester, Ind.
