(COLUMBUS, Ohio)---Senior James Starks (Toledo/Toledo-St. Francis), a defensive back for the Capital University football team, was chosen by the American Football Coaches Association to participate in the 2007 Aztec Bowl December 8th in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Starks, an All-American and a first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection from a year ago, turned in an excellent senior season, leading the Crusaders in tackles with 59, and also collecting seven tackles for loss, three interceptions, seven pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks.
Fifty NCAA Division III seniors from around the country were selected to represent the United States team that will take on the Mexican National Team at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario in Chihuahua. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. EST kick-off.
Starks, a radio/tv/film major, is the son of James and Audrey Starks of Toledo.
