Go Bucks, My Irish, and Thanksgiving Blessings

So, although I am very happy that the Buckeyes won against the Wolverines, and that they are going to the Rose Bowl, I am even more thrilled about the Irish winning against Duke this weekend. Okay, so that’s not much of an accomplishment…but still. The Irish guard got to dance at least once this season…

So, tomorrow’s the day! After 12:15 tomorrow, my thanksgiving break commences!

I know I usually blog on Tuesdays, but since I will be with family for the remainder of the week, I decided I’d do it early.

There are many things that I’m thankful for…my family, my friends, and other things that I have been blessed with. However, one of the things I am most thankful for is to be here. After 12 years of hard work in school, I am lucky to be at a very good institution with people who care about me, and want me to succeed. I think a lot of people who go to college today don’t realize how lucky they actually are to be learning at a place of higher education. There are people out there who have never had this experience, and some that never will. It is around this time that I realize how lucky I am to be here, to be alive, and to have limitless possibilities open to me. To those who are looking for a college, on a campus visit, make sure you really take the time to look around you. Make sure that this is the place for you, whether it is Capital or not, but make sure that you think that you can find a place to thrive here. I have found my place at Capital, and I am positive that the best years of my life are ahead of me.

Now that I have gone all sentimental on you, I would like to take this time to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy being with your friends and family, and enjoy the food!

I’ll see you next week!

Peace and happiness,
<3heather

PS. We’re having a Thanksgiving dinner tonight at the MDR. It’s at 6. I don’t think I can wait any longer. Sigh.
