Wow. It’s days like these that make me want to curl up in my bed underneath the covers and just sleep.
Unfortunately, it’s my first day back after Thanksgiving break, and classes begin again. But I am glad to be back at Capital.
My break, I am glad to report, was so relaxing. It was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of college life.
However, I didn’t totally escape from the madness. After listening to the razorbacks WIN an intense game, my grandparents, my brother, and I went to go pick up my cousins to go see ‘You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown’. And from then on, it was pretty much nonstop. Keeping up with my cousins is tough at times :D After the play, we came home and played dominos and guitar hero. On Saturday, we went downtown Mount Vernon to watch a long (and COLD) parade. And then we went on our annual family Christmas tree hunt. We came home, ate dinner, and as tradition goes in our family, watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
Sunday we decorated the tree and I returned to Cap later in the day. It seems as if the weekend flew by!
As for today, I received a wake up call. We discussed finals in a lot of my classes. And that means the end of the semester…my first semester in college…is almost over!! I cannot believe it! Two weeks from now, I’ll be headed home, finished with my finals and finished with school for a month. It’s exciting, let me tell you!
So, besides finals…what else is going on…hmm..
Tomorrow night I will be attending a lecture on preparing for Law School. I hope it doesn’t scare me too much, haha. And then going to Crusades.
Wednesday night is the SnowBall semiformal, put on by University Programming! I’m pretty excited about that! Also, that’s the night they light up the Capital Christmas tree as well!
On Friday, I’ll be headed back up to my grandparents for a more quiet atmosphere, so I can study for my finals that I have next week, and finish up some papers. And I think that’s about the scope of this week.
OH! I totally forgot! I decided this past weekend that I wanted to double major. So…I am now officially a double major in Psychology and Organizational Communication. With a Pre-Law track. Sounds complicated, but I’m excited!
And for all of you seniors out there..be excited! You’re half way to graduation!! Spend time with those you love, keep your focus, and just have fun. College is a whole new experience, and I’m excited for you!
Peace and Happiness,
<3 heather
P.S. Notre Dame won…again. If you didn’t see the amazing play they did, check it out on YouTube. It was against Stanford.
