SO.
It’s the last week in my first semester of college, and finals fever is starting to get to me. I’m so busy! But, I’m trying to keep my head up because starting next Tuesday, I get to relax.
Actually, that’s probably a lie. I have so many people to see when I get home! And then there’s Christmas shopping…oh, my goodness, this is going to be interesting.
So, I have a lot to talk about tonight. Let’s start with last Wednesday..
Last Wednesday night I attended a short meeting about going home to visit my alma mater for the holidays. Afterwards, we went to Chipotle with some of the admissions counselors. They are such a blast to hang out with, and I really enjoyed having dinner with my fellow ambassadors and the counselors. After that, I ran back to the dorm to catch America’s Next Top Model and get ready for the Snowball. After ANTM was over, a whole group of my friends walked over to the MDR. It was such a blast! We decorated ornaments, got a picture with Santa, had some snacks, and danced…it was so much fun. It was also nice to get dressed-up…I’m so used to wearing sweats and hoodies nowadays!
On Friday I left to go study and relax at my grandparents’ house. It was nice to just relax and get some things done before the madness of finals week.
Yesterday I realized that I only have one more week before I go home! I haven’t been home since early October, so it will be nice to see my family, and friends I haven’t seen since August!
Today I worked on some finals, ran some errands with my friends, and went to class. Nothing extraordinary, I guess.
As for the rest of the week…
Tomorrow is Wednesday! I love Wednesdays!
I’m going to a meeting about being on WXCU (Cap’s radio station) and then there’s a Spa Night for Wicked Wednesday… they are doing massages, which sounds heavenly right now.
Thursday, I’ll probably just be working on some more papers. And I have my Psych Final in the morning. Yikes.
Friday I’m going shopping with my Nana at Easton! So, that will be fun, and then I’m coming back and having a Christmas party with the girls. I’m pretty excited.
Saturday, I travel over to Gahanna Lincoln High School to judge another speech tournament. I’m super excited, because a lot of my friends from speech have their pieces done now, and I get to see them!
Oh! That’s another cool thing I get to look forward to when I come home… I hopefully will get to help coach for Wauseon’s speech team!
Saturday night I’m going to be coming back and working on my presentations for my finals. Fun stuff.
Sunday night I really want to try and relax so I will be stress free and ready for my finals at 8:00 in the morning!
Monday means finals, and then I’m going home for the holidays!! :D
I cannot…I mean really cannot…even believe that I am a semester down in college already! That’s crazy!
I was talking to my friend who is a senior in high school this year yesterday, and they were telling me that they were excited for college and to be independent. I’ve known this person for awhile and was thinking to myself ‘you can’t be in college yet, that’s insane! That means I’LL be a sophomore and turning 20!!!’ It’s so weird to think how fast time is going.
Well. I think that’s pretty much it for tonight. I hope you all are enjoying school, work, finals, relaxing…whatever you are doing…and enjoying the holiday spirit that is surrounding you. It’s such a great time of the year. I find it hard to be negative during the holiday season.
Have a fantastically wonderful night!
Peace and happiness,
<3 heather
PS Helio won on Dancing with the Stars. I guess that’s okay. At least Marie Osmond didn’t win. But I still would have liked to see Mel and Maks win.
