Bassoon Monsoon.
Bassoon students have the opportunity to play in the bassoon ensemble, university bands, the Cap-Bexley Orchestra, wind quintets, and other small ensembles.
The Bassoon Monsoon
The Bassoon Monsoon at Capital University is under the direction of Cynthia Cioffari, Professor of Bassoon. The group consists of bassoon majors and minors and also students who wish to continue playing the bassoon, even though they may have majors outside of the Conservatory. The repertoire consists of standard bassoon ensemble works, arrangements of orchestral pieces and pop tunes, as well as new compositions. The Monsoon performs regularly on campus and throughout the Columbus area. Contact Professor Cynthia Cioffari if you are interested in joining the ensemble.
