The Schumacher Gallery to Present 'Beyond Boundaries: Self-Taught Artists' Jan. 11-Feb. 15
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 – Capital University's Schumacher Gallery will present “Beyond Boundaries: Self-Taught Artists” Friday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Feb. 15.
The exhibition is co-sponsored by Art Access Gallery in Bexley and features self-taught artists who use unconventional subjects, techniques and materials.
Artists include Col. Dr. Bob, Michael Banks, Anthony Butch, William Hawkins, William Lamendola, Woodie Long, Sam “The Dot Man” McMillan, Ra Miller, Tiffany Owenby, Darrell Loy Scott, Bernice Sims, James Snipes, Jimmy Lee Sudduth, Moses Tolliver and Beverly Whiteside.
It is free and open to the public. An opening reception will be held in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Jan. 11. The Schumacher Gallery is located on the fourth floor of Capital University’s Blackmore Library, in Bexley. Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
