I’m back at Cap for my second semester, and so far, it’s been great!
A lot of things have been happening this week, so let me fill you in:
First off, the SA Café is FINALLY open! I am really excited. I went there yesterday for my first time and got a raspberry smoothie. It was SO good, let me tell you. I also like it because whenever I cut through Saylor-Ackermann to go to class, it smells SO good. Starbucks coffee, anyone? ?
All of my classes this semester are great. The earliest I have to get up now is 9:00 and only on Tuesdays and Thursdays…so that’s not bad at all! All of my professors are really nice, and a lot of them really put themselves out there for us, they gave us various forms of contact to make sure that we are not only getting the stuff we are learning, but to also seek them if we need help outside of the classroom. It was great to know that they really and truly care about us.
Another thing that was awesome was seeing all of my friends and being back in Columbus again. I love being at home and seeing my Wauseon friends, but I actually realized while at home how much I loved and missed this place and all the people here! It’s really nice to be able to see them again on a daily basis.
There was also a power outage this Wednesday! I don’t know if many of you know, but there was a HUGE thunderstorm on Wednesday night, and knocked out a lot of Columbus’s power. A lot of the girls in Cotterman came out into the hallway, because the emergency lights were on out in the hallway, unlike our rooms which were literally pitch black, because the outside lights were out as well. It was actually kinda cool, because some of us took our blankets and such and played Apples to Apples in the glow of the emergency light. It was fun, but I was also glad to see the RA’s around the dorm making sure we were all okay. It just made me feel a lot safer to know that there were people watching out for us. Luckily, power was back on by morning.
I’ve been super busy this week, and I’m so glad that tomorrow is Friday! I get to relax! Tomorrow, I am hanging out with some of my friends from home, and then going to a steakhouse on Saturday night downtown Columbus. Finally, on Sunday, I’m helping my new roommate move in!
I can’t believe that I’m on the road to being a sophomore in college. It’s crazy!
I hope you all enjoy your semesters, quarters, winters…whatever it may be.
Peace and happiness,
<3 heather
PS. The Drexel theatre has JUNO!! I’m going to see it on Sunday as well and I can’t wait!
