All of these events have transpired in the last week (the second of 2008)…as well as my return to Capital University! The year 2008 promises to be one of excitement, change, and increased, uh, studying…yea, studying…
After a pretty great Christmas (Xbox 360 being every college guy’s friend) and a great New Year with all my friends, I’m back once more at Capital U! This semester will be one of my busiest and most rewarding. The rushing and pledging period is quickly coming upon us, and Kappa Sigma Upsilon must join the rest of Greek Life and prepare to accept more Brothers into our folds. I’ve taken a new position in my fraternity, as Vice President of Standards, and will be in charge of enforcing the Constitution and keeping all of our Brothers in line. Greek Council is expecting a large turnout in interested parties for Greek Life, and is excited to see so many new faces come to our recruitment events.
I’m also undertaking a number of research projects and papers this semester, and with my Urban Politics class, I am undertaking a study on migration, economic conditions, and life in Ohio cities. It promises to be a very interesting and consuming enterprise. And surprisingly, I’m looking forward to it!
I’m also taking weightlifting this semester, because I need to lose my freshman, and well…sophomore “freshman 15”. So why not get credit for it as well?
Tonight begins the recruitment phase in Greek Life, so I have to go get ready….Stay classy =D
