(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Though the volleyball team failed to return to the NCAA playoffs for a third year in a row, the Crusaders still had an impressive season, reaching the 20-win plateau for a seventh-consecutive season and advancing to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals.

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.)--Capital University's volleyball team is ranked seventh in the first NCAA Great Lakes Regional Rankings of the 2007 season. The rankings are used to determine teams and seeding for the 2007 NCAA Division III Tournament. The Crusaders, who have been in the NCAA Tournament each of the last two seasons, are 18-8 on the season and travel to No. 2 regionally ranked Ohio Northern University Saturday at 1 p.m. in Ada, Ohio.

(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio)--No. 22 ranked Capital University knocked off No. 24 ranked Hiram College, 3-1 (27-30, 30-24, 30-22, 30-25) then lost to No. 2 ranked Wittenberg University, 3-0 (30-27, 30-13, 30-25) in a tri-match in Springfield, Ohio.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)--Capital University's volleyball team won its 12th straight match with a 3-0 (30-13, 30-10, 30-13) win over Wilmington College in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener Wednesday in Columbus.

Capital University's volleyball team, ranked No. 21 in the nation, has won 11 matches if a row after taking four wins at the Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University Crossover in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Crusaders won matches Friday against Otterbein College, 3-1 (30-20, 30-22, 28-30, 30-20) and Carnegie Mellon, 3-0 (30-21, 30-18, 30-23) then continued with wins Saturday with 3-1 wins against Geneva (Pa.) College (26-30, 30-18, 30-22, 30-21) and Eastern (Pa.) University (30-23, 30-22, 27-30, 30-24). Capital is back in action Wednesday, Sept 27, hosting Wilmington College in the OAC and home opener at 7 p.m. at The Capital Center.

(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.) -- Capital University's volleyball team won all four matches and captured the championship at the Volley Against Violence Westminster Volleyball Invitational in New Wilmington, Pa. St. Joseph Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio.
