Four Nationally Ranked Teams Headline 2008 Purple & White Invite
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)-Capital University will host the 2008 Purple & White Invitational Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio. One of the top small college golf tournaments in the region, this year's 36-hole event will feature 99 women and 53 men in the field.
The women's tournament entering its ninth season features possibly its strongest field ever headlined with four nationally ranked teams in #2 DePauw (Ind.), #11 Olivet (Mich.), #16 Otterbein and #21 Ohio Northern. Tournament host Capital was also receiving votes in that same poll.
The men's tournament in only its second season also has a strong field highlighted by Walsh, Shawnee State and Ohio Dominican.
