Hey everyone! I have plenty to tell you!
First and foremost, my frog (Sparkles) died Monday night. :( I was sad, but quickly got over it and went to the pet store Tuesday to get 2 new fish. One is blue and named sunset, the other is orange and named sunrise... how original right? Hopefully my luck with animals improves quickly, or we could have a massacre on our hands... :P
Last night quite a few students at Capital hosted accepted seniors that wanted to spend a night at college and actually experience Capital first hand. It was a great time and I loved the girl I hosted (hi Brittany!) Our night included a tailgate dinner with the hosts and guests, the Capital men's basketball game, guitar hero, and breakfast the next morning in the MDR. (mmmm, waffles!) It was a great experience for me, and I hope that our guests felt the same way!
Spring break at Capital begins tomorrow after classes, and I am more than ready for the week of relaxation, home cooked food and, most importantly, the lack of homework! I'm planning on sleeping in every day, reading some good books that I've been meaning to read, and spending time with my family. But at the same time, this break marks the middle of the semester... meaning that my freshman year of college is 75% over, which is crazy!
I also want to be really, really late and say YAY GIANTS! :) I have been a Steelers fan from the day I was born, so disliking the Patriots after they killed our playoff hopes a few seasons back shouldn't suprise anyone! Although I would have liked someone to have an undefeated season, I was not happy that it could potentially be them. I was very happy that the Giants pulled it off after all, so haha Tom Brady!
I guess that's all for now. As always, comments and questions are appreciated!
