WOW! What an awesome Wicked Wednesday last week!!! Jason LeVasseur, a singer/songwriter performed here on Campus in Mees Hall and we recorded him for a live album! He was amazing! He has opened for such artists as Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Maroon 5, and Ben Folds. I got to hang out with Jason as we walked around campus to mingle with the students and then we headed to Peking Dynasty, a Chinese restaurant just off of campus for dinner and good conversation around foreign cuisine. All I have to say is…if Jason is around your area and you have a chance to see him…DO IT!!! You will not regret it! And, Jason if you read this, Thank you again for a great event and hope to see you back on campus in the fall!!!
But, a storm was on the horizon that would change the course of everyone’s plans for the weekend…
As the snow fell this weekend my hopes rose as I had a feeling that classes would soon cancel, and they did! Friday, all classes were cancelled after 2pm allowing my friends and I to look at the beauty of the fresh snow just to ruin it by running around and tackling one another. Being snowed in on campus allowed our minds to expand its imagination when trying to find time to occupy myself. Fort building was an essential along with an arousing game of capture-the-flag through the Saylor-Ackerman quad and Renner field. Normally, when I am bored I just call a couple of people and we drive into downtown Columbus, but with the conditions as they were and the inability to drive on the roads without being arrested, we had to find various avenues to have fun. But, all good things must come to an end and Monday came and I had to snap back into reality mode. So, wish me good luck as I try to make the difficult transition between my two realities and good luck to all of you as you go through your week.
