(AUSTINTOWN, Ohio)--Capital University senior Lindsay Shepherd (Phillipsburg/Northmont), sophomore Brittany Stefano (Uniontown/Lake) and freshman Ashley Daugherty (Reynoldsburg/Pickerington Central) were each named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Teams by the league's 10 coaches.
Shepherd was named to the first team for the third time in her career and was the Crusaders top hitter (.447), while leading the OAC with 42 stolen bases. She finished her career as Capital's all-time stolen base leader with 122 stolen bases.
Stefano, on the All-OAC second team for a second-straight season, set a school-record and led the OAC with 202 strikeouts this season. She also led the team in wins (13), innings pitched (134.0) and earned run average (1.83).
Daugherty, an All-OAC honorable mention selection, was tied for the team-lead in home runs and second in doubles (7), triples (1) and batting average (.431).
The trio led Capital to a 23-16 record and a fifth place finish in the OAC with a 10-8 record.
