Kappa Sigma Upsilon, a fraternity at Capital University, sponsored an end-of-year furniture drive to benefit MAP Furniture Bank, an organization that provides furniture to people in need. Students donated tables, chairs, lamps, couches, and even a futon or two.
Brian Harstine and Ryan Stiers helped to spearhead the drive. Alex Rock, Max Hoff, Joe Francia, and other members of KSU helped to staff the donation collection points. “This is a positive thing we can do to decrease trash while helping those in need,” said Harstine.
Students also donated a great deal of food and clothing through the “Don’t Throw it Out” campaign sponsored by the Community Service and Leadership Development Office.
Food collected will go to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, and clothing will go to the Open Shelter.
Many thanks to all who donated to help those in need!
