(COLUMBUS, Ohio)--Capital University senior catcher Maddy Buck (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District IV College Division Softball Second Team.
Buck, who missed 13 games due to an injury, started 26 games behind the plate for the Crusaders, posted a .231 batting average, with six stolen bases and was second on the team with a .984 fielding percentage.
Off the field, Buck just graduated with a degree in Health & Physical Education with a 3.66 grade point average.
To qualify for the teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average. College Division District IV includes every NCAA II, III and NAIA institution in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
