(AUSTINTOWN, Ohio)--Capital University senior catcher Maddy Buck (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) was named Academic All-OAC Softball by the conference's 10 faculty athletics representatives.
Buck, who missed 13 games due to an injury, started 26 games behind the plate for the Crusaders, posted a .231 batting average, with six stolen bases and was second on the team with a .984 fielding percentage.
Off the field, Buck just graduated with a degree in Health & Physical Education with a 3.66 grade point average.
To qualify for the teams, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve in at least their second year at the school and have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
