Capital's Honors Program is open to students in all academic disciplines who meet the entry requirements for the program. Honors students, and other high achieving students, may also be eligible to join one of Capital's many honor societies that recognize achievement in a particular major or discipline. Capital University's Honors Program is affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council.Through the elected Honors Student Council, students plan social and cultural activities such as:
- Movie nights with discussions afterwards
- Snack-and-discussion sessions (Food for Thought)
- Short North Gallery Hops
- Holiday parties
- Tailgate parties before Capital football games
- Trips to the opera
- Sporting events
