‘Now We Raise a Joyful Chant’

Article Body: Sophomore Karlayna joins fellow “Children of Eden” cast members in “Ain’t It Good,” a gospel tune celebrating the return of the sun and the arrival of a dove carrying an olive branch, and the promise of dry land.

The two-act play, loosely based on the book of Genesis and featuring music and lyrics by Steven Schwartz, is being performed by Eden Summer Players, Capital’s newly established summer theatre group.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16 in the Cabaret Theatre, located in the Harry C. Moores Campus Center on Capital’s Bexley campus, 1 College and Main.
