Hello everyone!
It's been a busy, fun-filled summer, but school is just around the corner. Although classes don't start until August 25th, I'm moving back on campus TOMORROW to begin Resident Assistant training. I'm really looking forward to moving back and seeing everyone and, as scary as it sounds, going back to classes. I'm taking 3 Political Science classes, 1 general education class (cultural diversity) and 2 Spanish classes, so it should be a pretty good semester! :)
When I moved on campus last year, I was wondering what I should bring. Well fear not, incoming freshmen; here is my top 5 list of what to bring to college!
1. Mattress Pad- Although Capital bought us brand new mattresses this summer, it never hurts to have a little extra comfort! I have an egg crate and fitted mattress pad & it makes my bed at Capital more comfy than at home!
2. Pictures from home- Whether you're 5 minutes or 5 hours from home, it's always nice to see those smiling faces each and every day.
3. Yummy snacks- Although Capital feeds us well, it's always nice to have some Fritos and Chocolate on hand.
4. Shower Shoes/Shower Caddy- A shower caddy makes it easier to get your shampoo and soap to the showers and shower shoes; I don't think I need to say much else... :)
AND FINALLY
5.A good attitude- If you come to school thinking that you'll hate your roommate, your classes will suck and that you won't make any friends, chances are, all of those things will happen. Come with an open mind and be prepared to try new things and college will be the greatest 4 years of your life, I promise!
