MEN’S GOLF PLACES EIGHTH AT AULD CRAFTERS KISOR CLASSIC

PATASKALA, Ohio – Capital men’s golf wrapped up its first tournament of the season by finishing eighth out of nine teams at the 2008 Auld Crafters Kisor Classic at Cumberland Trail Golf Course.

 

Junior James Koon (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley HS) paced Capital with a final round 83 to finish tied for 28th place with a two-day total of 159 on the par 72, 7148-yeard course.

 

Sophomore Nate Delong (Circleville, Ohio/Logan Elm HS) followed two shots back with a 161 after carding a 79 in the final round on Saturday as he placed 33rd.

 

Freshman Stephen Moller (London, Ohio/Madison Plains HS) rounded out his first collegiate competition with an 83 to finish tied for 45th place out of 65 competitors.

 

The trio of sophomores Jordan Flack (Chillicothe, Ohio/Huntington HS) and Chad Thurkettle (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster HS) as well as junior Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) tied for 48th place with totals of 169.  Flack fired a final round 82 while Thrukettler and Zaborsky finished with scores of 84 and 86 respectively.

 

Juniors Andy Garcia (Miami, Fla/Palmetto HS) and Chas Manning (Granville, Ohio/Granville HS) rounded out the Crusader finishers with scores of 175 and 177 each to finish in 58th and 59th position.
