Wow! What crazy weather! I hope everyone is doing well and has been successfully recovering from the Ohio Hurricane this past weekend. It was really something to see here at Capital University with students trying to entertain themselves in many unique and different ways without video games, television, and internet. Cards games were reviewed and the board games were dusted off as we all found different ways to pass the time. As an RA and with fellow RA’s we were given the task of walking the Residence Halls while the power was out in order to answer questions and keep order. Most of the RA’s were awake from 30-40 hours straight, so we were all relieved when the power came back on and we were able to get some sleep; it goes along with the job I guess. But, the time off was a good change of pace, especially because Capital received power a few short hours after canceling classes until Thursday; we were the lucky ones. I know some of my friends from down south didn’t get power back until Thursday or Friday and I believe some may still be without power! What a week! Now it is time to play “catch-up” on classes and assignments which is always fun and a great life lesson in prioritization. We will see if I pass or fail at that task soon. Enjoy the electricity and the lovely weather we have been having. Have a great week!
