SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Capital men’s golf team finished 13th out of 15 teams at the Wittenberg Fall Invitational on Monday after 36 holes of competition at Windy Knoll Golf Club.
Playing for the third consecutive day, the Crusaders posted a team score of 645, which was one shot back of Mount St. Joseph (644) in 12th place and five shots behind both Ohio Northern and the Centre “B” Team which tied for 10th place at 640.
Junior Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) paced Capital for the second straight tournament as he posted a two-over par 73 in the first round followed by a 77 in the final round for a 150 combined score to finish in a tie for 13th place out of 87 golfers.
Sophomore Nate Delong (Circleville, Ohio/Logan Elm HS) had back to back rounds of 77 to finish with a 154 and place in a tie for 19th position.
Junior James Koon (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley HS) and sophomore Jordan Flack (Chillicothe, Ohio/Huntington HS) each combined for a 173 to tie for 76th position while freshman Stephen Moller (London, Ohio/Madison Plains HS) was two shots back at 175 for 80th place.
