The Battelle Visualization Laboratory is located in Battelle Hall and operated by the Center for Computational Studies. This cutting-edge facility is devoted to the teaching and learning of Computational Studies, an interdisciplinary field that combines mathematics, computers and science and made possible through the generous gift of Battelle Memorial Institute.
Battelle Visualization Laboratory
The visualization laboratory has state-of-the-art dual boot Pentium PCs and high-end SunWorkstations for undergraduate student use. In addition to mathematical software such as Maple, MatLab, and Mathematica, it has scientific visualization software such as ArcGIS, AVS, VTK, STELLA, and other computational modeling software.
The laboratory is supported by Capital University Center for Computational Studies, the National Science Foundation, the Keck Foundation, and the Battelle Memorial Institute.
