Campus Labs

The Department of Information Technology currently supports 8 labs on campus.  Majority of lab computers are windows xp systems, however, a limited number of MacIntosh systems are available in Blackmore Library.  Information about current software on these systems can be viewed by clicking on the link under the software/application column below.

Lab access is available to faculty, staff and students.  Lab hours vary by location.  Please note that some labs are both public and teaching labs, therefore, hours of accessbility may be limited during the week.  A daily lab schedule is posted next to the door of the lab, therefore, you should refer to this schedule to locate time frames that the lab will be accessible. 

Information Technology currently conducts daily lab checks.  Lab checks procedures include checking and filling the printer with paper; checking computer systems for funtionality; and resolving any technical issue that may have been reported.  During maintenance times, the lab may not be available for use, however, it is common for these checks to be less than 30 minutes per lab (depending on the technical issue, it could be longer).

To use a lab computer, you must successfully log into the system using your Capital University common log-in username and password.  For safe computing purposes, you should ensure that you log out of the system successfully to protect your personal information when you are done.
