Fall is Here!!!

Wow, sorry it’s been so long since the last update. It seems that within a blink of an eye the dog days of summer are gone and it is now fall and I have to wear shoes instead of flip flops because of the cold.

I have been very busy with classes as of late. It seems like every class has either a test or a project due. Luckily I still have my sanity and I’m still doing ok. A lot of the projects I’m doing are fun. The most recent one I’m working now is orchestrating Old McDonald for a Percussion Ensemble. I have already registered for classes next semester. I’m really excited that I’m taking something other than music classes next semester. I’m adding a religion class, and political science course, maybe even adding a political science minor to my degree plan.

I have been thinking about going to law school after my time here at Cap and focusing on Music Industry and Copyright law. So I have been looking at various law schools and possible internships that I could do this summer. I’m really excited about this new adventure, and the Capital Faculty and Staff have been a great help for me. I mentioned it to my advisor who in turn suggested I meet with the Poli Sci department and Career Services both told me what I need to do to get prepped to take the LSAT and what I’m looking forward to in the next couple years.

With all of this happening, I have been able to keep up with somewhat of a social life. I just went to Gallery Hop this past Saturday. Gallery Hop is once a month in the Short North of Columbus where all the art galleries are open and free of charge, it a lot of fun to go with a group of friends and just check out the shops, galleries and restaurants in the area. Also I have been working with Campus Congregation to get a Community Garden here on campus. The President of the University approved a section of land we can use to make this dream a reality. So myself as well as others have been getting in contact with community members and other gardeners to help us get this project going. Hopefully by next year we will have some vegetables to show for it to give to local food banks and other causes.

Wow that is a lot, but until next time!
