Narmina Aliyeva

Narmina Aliyeva, a native of Azerbaijan, holds degrees from Azerbaijan State Conservatory including a B.M. in piano and organ performance and an M.M. in collaborative piano. She moved to the United States in 1998 and became active as a private piano instructor, church organist, collaborative musician and accompanist.

In 2001 Narmina joined the faculty of the Conservatory of Music where she now teaches accompanying and performs regularly with both students and faculty as an artist accompanist. In addition, she has participated in Conservatory Opera and Musical Theatre productions and designed and taught a course in Russian Diction for vocal majors.

Narmina is also very active as an organ performer, focusing on historical performance practice. Since 1996, she has regularly participated in summer organ academies in Sweden, the Netherlands and Italy, where she studied with world-renowned organists Jacques van Oortmerssen, Hans Davidsson and Edoardo Belotti. In the United States she studied privately with Todd Wilson. Since 1999, Narmina has been the organist at Summit United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio.
