CRUSADER MEN’S GOLF FINISHES EIGHTH AT MUSKINGUM INVITE

COMPLETE RESULTS

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Capital men's golf team remained in eighth place as closed out play at its opening competition of the spring season during Saturday's final round of the 2009 Muskingum Spring Invitational at Eagle Sticks Golf Course.

CU carded a team score of 328 on Saturday and finished with a combined total of 639, which was 23 shots behind seventh-place Calvin.

Junior Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) led all Crusaders as he tied for 15th individually with a two-day total of 150.  After shooting a two-over par 72 on Friday, Zaborsky finished with a 78 on Saturday.

Freshman Cameron Baker (Lima, Ohio/Spencerville HS) tallied an 82 in the final round to finish in a tie of 32nd place with a two-round score of 158.

The duo of junior Andy Garcia (Miami, Fla./Palmetto HS) and freshman Stephen Moller (London, Ohio/Madison Plains HS) rounded out the Capital performers in 54th and 58th position respectively.  Garcia carded an 83 on Saturday to make a two-shot improvement from the first round while Moller was four shots better in the final round with an 85.

Capital will play host to its own Purple & White Invitational next Sunday and Monday at Foxfire Golf Course in Lockbourne, Ohio.
