MEN’S GOLF HOLDS ON FOR 12TH PLACE FINISH AT LAMKIN STRIMER MEMORIAL

COMPLETE RESULTS 

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Capital men's golf team finished 12th at the Lamkin Strimer Memorial Tournament hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University following a second round which was held at Oakhaven Golf Club on Saturday.

Capital had a two-day total of 657, which was 17 shots behind 11th-place Baldwin-Wallace (640) and 18 shy of 10th place Centre (639).  Olivet came from behind to win the team title with a combined score of 600.

Junior Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) carded his second consecutive round of 75 to move up into a tie for sixth place out of 86 golfers, which led all Crusader finishers.

The junior duo of Andy Garcia (Miami, Fla./Palmetto HS) and James Koon (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley HS) followed with two-day totals of 169 and 171 for Capital.  Garcia shot an 86 on Saturday to finish in a tie for 70th place while Koon fired a 90 in the second round to tie for 72nd position.

Freshman Stephen Moller (London, Ohio/Madison Plains HS) tallied his second straight round of 86 to finish at 172 for a tie of 76th place while sophomore Jordan Flack (Chillicothe, Ohio/Huntington HS) was one shot back overall after carding an 85 on Saturday to place 79th overall.

Capital will return to action at the OAC Spring Invitational next Saturday and Sunday at River Greens G.C. in West Lafayette, Ohio.
