COMPLETE RESULTS WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio - Capital moved up one spot to finish eighth out of nine teams at the 2009 OAC Spring Men's Golf Invitational held at River Greens G.C.
The Crusaders completed the second half of round number two on Sunday with a score of 317 and then shot a 325 in the third round to post a combined total of 959. CU was 35 shots behind seventh place Heidelberg and two shots better than ninth place Wilmington.
Junior Daniel Zaborsky (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Scioto HS) closed out the tournament in a tie for 13th place with rounds of 79 and 78 on Sunday.
Freshman Stephen Moller (London, Ohio/Madison Plains HS) posted rounds of 76 and 78 on the final day to finish with a total of 238 and tie for 35th place while competing as an individual.
Junior James Koon (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley HS) moved up to a tie for 39th position as he improved his score in each round. After carding an 84 on Saturday, Koon posted an 80 in the second round and a 77 in the third for a total of 241.
The trio of freshman Cameron Baker (Lima, Ohio/Spencerville HS), junior Andy Garcia (Miami, Fla./Palmetto HS) and sophomore Jordan Flack (Chillicothe, Ohio/Huntington HS) were closely group in a pack to round out the Crusader finishers. Baker placed 48th with a combined score of 251 while Garcia and Flack were just one shot back in 49th place.
Capital returns to action at the Nye Intercollegiate on Saturday and Sunday at the Wooster CC.
