INDIANAPOLIS - The Capital women's track & field team set a new school record in the 4x100 meter relay at the Indy Twilight Qualifier hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Wednesday.
The squad of junior Brittany Carter (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South HS), freshman Kwesi Seabrook (Dayton, Ohio/Chaminade-Julienne HS), senior Lizzy Stanton (Cincinnati, Ohio/Withrow HS) and junior Jessica Starks (Akron, Ohio/Akron East HS) tallied a time of 47.59 to break the school record by .03 seconds. Carter, Stanton and Starks were part of the previous best mark in program history, which was recorded on May 24, 2008.
The new school record time of 47.59 give the Crusaders the sixth fastest mark in the nation and puts them in the NCAA Championship Meet scheduled for May 21-23 at Marietta College.
