Elene Kent, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Leadership and Management Department of Capital University’s School of Management in Columbus, Ohio, where she teaches a variety of management courses including MIS and also the capstone business strategy course. She earned her Ph.D. in Information and Instructional Technology at The Union Institute, Cincinnati, OH, her M.B.A. and M.S. Ed. from Niagara University, Niagara Falls, NY and her B.S. from SUNY Brockport. She also currently serves as the Academic Coordinator for the School of Management’s offerings in the university’s Center for Lifelong Learning, and has many years of teaching experience working with adult learners in Capital’s degree completion program, in addition to also teaching in the traditional undergraduate program. Her published research has covered a variety of topics dealing with the uses of instructional technology with adult learners, prior learning assessment and experiential learning, as well as the current work focusing on assessment of learning outcomes.
