BD: How have you found the proper balance between playing an NCAA sport and being a Biology major?

SV: I prefer to study late at night when I don't have anything going on with baseball or I bring my study materials with me on the bus.

BD: What is the best part about playing baseball for Capital?

SV: The best part about playing for Capital is that I get to continue to play the game I love and play with all the new friends I have made.

BD: How have you seen yourself improve as a baseball player since you came to Capital?

SV: I have become faster and a better leadoff hitter.

BD: How good can this team be in 2010?

SV: The team can be very good with the help of a new coach and some good incoming recruits.

BD: What is on your I-pod prior to baseball games?

SV: I mostly have rap on my I-pod, such as Eminem, Tupac, T.I., and Lil' Wayne.

BD: Since it is late July, have you seen any of the box office summer movie hits yet?

SV: Yes, I saw the hangover and it was absolutely hilarious.

BD: Who is your pick to win the World Series this year?

SV: The Tampa Bay Rays.

BD: What is the better Kevin Costner baseball movie: Bull Durham of Field of Dreams?

SV: Field of Dreams.

BD: What are your plans after your graduate from Capital?

SV: I plan to go to graduate school to become a physician assistant, forensic science, or both.

BD: How has Capital prepared you for that next step in your life?

SV: Capital has taught me how to properly prioritize my life so I can manage all the activities and responsibilities I have going on.
