University Programming

Last night, my roommate and I decided to treat ourselves to something fun after hours spent studying and completing our homework! Capital's University Programming comittee is responsible for putting together various events, which are held on "Wicked Wednesdays!" This week, they arranged for a special group by the name of "Recycled Percussion" to perform live for students in Mees Hall. To be honest, I went with the preconceived notion that they were just going to be another group banging on garbage cans. However, they proved me wrong! They were unique, energetic, and amazingly talented! Members of the group performed for hours and there was NEVER a dull moment! Have you ever seen anyone make music on a 20 foot ladder?!

I've always possessed a great sense of appreciation for music in its various forms, but I've never been afforded the opportunity to experience music like I did on Wednesday evening. I had such a great time, and thanks to My First Year, I had a camera to catch the experience! My roommate and I got a chance to meet the band! Hope you all like the pic! Be sure to check out their website as well, if you're interested at www.recycledpercussion.com! :-)
