Hey everyone! It's time for another update! I'd jump right into the week, but that wouldn't be fair because I had a lot of fun this past weekend as well. Last Friday, I went back to my high school for the Homecoming football game. I was voted queen as a senior, so I was asked to crown the queen this year! It was neat getting to share in her exciting experience! I also enjoyed spending time with other alumni, once again. A group of us left the game not long after the ceramony because it got cold and it began to rain. We headed over to a cafe nearby to hear my friend Robby's acquaintances play in a band. Many of the students there attended Otterbein, but I tried my best to put on a friendly face anyway!
Once we left the cafe, we ate dinner at Applebees, and headed over to another friend's house to hang out for a while. We talked, laughed, and caught up on things until the wee hours of the morning. However, my roommate and I got tired, so we headed back to campus.
On Saturday, I went to Capital's Homecoming football game. My parents met me there as well, and once again, we had a great time! Capital won, and to top it all off..my friend Kalo was voted Homecoming King! I was so happy to hear his name announced. He leads Campus Crusade for Christ, and I think he's an awesome person. (Congrats to the other Homecoming Court participants as well!)
Once the game ended, my parents and I went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants..Long Horn! I was thrilled because I think their food is the best! After we finished eating, we headed over to the movie theatre to see The Gospel. I really enjoyed the music, and I thought the movie was good. It was fun getting to spend quality time with my parents! They really love and miss me, and they spoil me to pieces! :-)
I headed back to campus after I attended church the next morning, and got myself ready for a whirlwind of a week! I had an abundance of homework and an important test to study for; my roommate did as well, and that made things somewhat stressful. However, we stayed disciplined and completed all of our work. I did fairly well on my test, and felt as though a weight had been lifted!
To treat ourselves to some fun, my roommate and I went shopping! It's almost time for Halloween and we're both so very excited! I can't wait because it will finally be my 18th birthday! Also, my roommate and I have been invited by friends to OU's Halloween party. Needless to say, we were both in need of costumes, so we decided that going to shop for them this week would be a perfect way to unwind. I wanted to be a Bumble Bee, but the costume was too big! I ended up having to buy a costume from the juniors section instead! But, I like it a lot..I'm a Good Angel/Bad Angel. My roommate is going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! I'll be sure to take pictures when we go to OU for the weekend, and I promise to update and tell you all about our trip!
In the mean time, the girls on our floor have decided to spread a little Halloween cheer by decorating their doors throughout the S.S. hallway. Everything looks really cute, and Aubrey and I decided to join in! We went bargain hunting at CVS and found neat decorations. We bought everything from cob-web with spiders to a skeleton and a witches hat! We think our door looks awesome, and we had so much fun decorating it!...That was pretty much my week! I'll leave you with a picture of our door! :-)
